Sweet Meatballs with Dried Fruit



Meatballs
1 pound ground beef
1 egg
1 egg yolk
½ teas each/salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika, garlic powder
¼ cup bread crumbs
¼ cup oil
Sauce
1 large onion, sliced
1 pkg dried apricots
1 pkg prunes
Prepare meat mixture by combining beef, eggs, spices and bread crumbs in large bowl. Form the meat into 1 inch balls and then flatten them. Heat oil in frying pan. Fry meat balls in hot oil for two minutes on each side.
To prepare sauce fry onion slices until translucent. Add dried fruit and mix together w/onions. Cover pan and lower flame. Simmer for 10 minutes or until you see a sauce forming. Add meatballs and let simmer for another 15 minutes.
